Finance Manager – Fund Operations (m/f/d)

To strengthen our Finance Team, we are seeking a skilled Finance Manager to oversee all financial operations for HV Capital’s diverse venture capital funds. Join us in Munich and play a central role in ensuring smooth fund operations, accurate reporting, and seamless collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

• Lead quarterly accounting and financial reporting for our funds, ensuring precision, compliance, and timely delivery in line with HGB/KAGB/KARBV standards.

• Collaborate closely with external auditors to support efficient year-end audits and provide all necessary information for a smooth process.

• Oversee cash flow and liquidity planning, ensuring our funds are always well-positioned for capital calls and distributions.

• Manage capital calls, distributions, and management fee calculations, guaranteeing accuracy and promptness in all transactions.

• Prepare and review financial transactions for portfolio companies, acting as the main point of contact for investors, auditors, and advisors.

• Drive improvements in fund operations by introducing new features to our existing Business Intelligence tools, streamlining processes, and supporting data-driven decision-making.

• Maintain accurate fund records in Salesforce-based CRM platform Altvia, supporting fundraising and ongoing due diligence efforts.

• Support ongoing process optimisation, risk mitigation, and system implementations to ensure best-in-class fund operations.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.

• Several years of relevant professional experience in a finance role, ideally within a venture capital, private equity, hedge fund, or fund administration environment.

• Strong understanding of fund accounting and regulatory requirements (HGB/KAGB/KARBV).

• Experience with fund operations, including capital calls, distributions, and audit coordination.

• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with CRM and fund administration tools (e.g., Altvia).

• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
