In this role, you will:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering closely with our Investment and Legal teams during financing rounds, serving as a sparring partner and financial expert.

  • Contributing to the negotiation and structuring of financing rounds, bringing a sharp financial perspective to the table.

  • Owning the modelling and maintenance of high-quality capitalisation tables, ensuring they’re always up-to-date and accurate for our portfolio.

  • Acting as the main point of contact for all finance-related topics around funding rounds, collaborating with portfolio companies and external partners.

  • Supporting the financial side of exits, ESOPs, and related transactions.

  • Leading valuation processes in line with EVCA/IPEV guidelines and assisting with impairment assessments, including coordination with auditors.

  • Preparing insightful financial reports and analyses for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Working cross-functionally with teams across investment, legal, accounting, and tax, as well as with outside advisors.

Job requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s is a plus).

  • Solid experience working with capitalisation tables and structuring financing rounds.

  • A strong background in venture capital, private equity, or a closely related field, or the drive to apply your experience in a similar environment.

  • At least five years of experience in a finance-focused role with comparable responsibilities.

  • Professional fluency in both German and English so that you can operate confidently in both local and international contexts.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a reputation for diligence and reliability.

  • Strong contract-reading skills, with the ability to interpret terms and ensure proper execution.

  • Advanced Excel skills and a track record of building and working with complex financial models.

  • Ideally, knowledge of German and U.S. tax law, or a keen interest in developing this expertise.
